Trav Privacy Policy

Information we use
If you create an account, we store your name, email address and a password hash, together with authentication and recovery records. Signed-in features store your travel preferences, destination searches and interactions, saved places, trips, budgets, dates, planning conversations and generated itineraries. Do not enter payment credentials, passport numbers or other sensitive information in AI prompts.
Optional location
Nearby can request your approximate or precise foreground location when you choose to use your current location. Coordinates are sent to our API and location discovery providers to find nearby places. You can decline permission and choose a place instead. Trav does not request background location.
AI, maps and service providers
Planning prompts, relevant trip preferences and recent conversation context may be processed by Google Gemini or Groq, depending on the configured provider. Google’s unpaid Gemini service may use submitted content and generated responses to improve its products and machine learning models; human reviewers may process that content. Do not submit personal, sensitive or confidential information. AI answers can be incorrect: independently verify travel conditions, opening hours, prices and safety advice. Place discovery and maps use services including OpenStreetMap/Overpass, Geoapify, Wikidata, Wikipedia and Wikimedia. External map tiles, photos and links may disclose your IP address and requested place to those providers. Booking links open external websites; their privacy policies apply.
The application is hosted using Render, Neon PostgreSQL and Vercel. Our servers and hosting providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, request times, error information and browser or device information, to operate and secure the service. Trav does not sell personal data or contain advertising.
Content reports
When you report AI content in the app, we store your account identifier, reason, optional details and a bounded copy of the reported answer or itinerary for developer review and safety improvements. Please do not include sensitive information in report details.
Security and retention
Network connections to our API use HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, and authentication tokens on Android use secure storage. No service can guarantee absolute security. Account and travel records remain until deleted or no longer needed to provide the service. AI drafts may expire; temporary discovery caches and operational logs have separate operational retention. Provider backup copies may remain temporarily until their normal rotation.
Your choices and deletion
You can decline location permission, remove saved items and request deletion of your account and associated personal data. See Delete account and data. You can contact us to request access or correction. We may ask you to confirm ownership before acting.
Audience and updates
Trav is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We may update this policy; the effective date above identifies the current version.
